Joseph
Herbster, PSP, has enjoyed a 20+ year career in the security
industry and has worked hard to build his reputation
as a technical expert with a 360° view of technology,
engineering, service, and sales.
In 2006, Mr. Herbster handled the integration of a state
of the art security system for a 500,000 square foot
facility of a leading mortgage provider. Under his direction,
five separate Pennsylvania-based buildings with 2,000
employees came together under one roof with the most
sophisticated and technically advanced security available.
Mr. Herbster’s intense focus on technology and
desire to learn how things work has been at the core
of his continual advancement. In the early 90’s
he moved from a Master Locksmith role into a technical
position, in charge of programming and installation of
electronic control systems and related hardware for the
Philadelphia based office of a national security company.
From there he began supporting sales as an Applications
Engineer for a top security systems integration company.
In 2004, he developed expertise in sales and service
as a National Account Manager where he consistently surpassed
the $6M annual sales quotas and won several outstanding
achievement awards.
Mr. Herbster’s diverse talents and understanding
of the security industry from the end-user, sales, and
technical sides are now leveraged collectively in his
role as Senior Consultant for TSS International.
Mr. Herbster earned his ASIS International Physical
Security Professional certification in 2005 and is an
active member of ASIS, Security Xchange, and Boma. He
served in the United States Air Force as a B-52 Crew
Chief and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in April
of 1985. He comes from a family of security providers
and credits both his military experience and his familial
influence for his success in the security industry.
